Practical guidance for using and caring for our borosilicate glassware. Always follow the instructions supplied with your specific model.
Check the glass and its accessories separately
These temperature guidelines apply to the borosilicate glass body only. Lids, seals, valves, coatings and other accessories may have different limits. Check their individual instructions before heating or cleaning.
Temperature and sudden changes
Our stated glass-body operating range is -20°C to 400°C, with an instantaneous temperature difference no greater than 100°C. This range does not mean that a product can be moved directly between the two extremes. Let the glass change temperature gradually; do not add cold liquid to hot glass.
Refrigerator, oven, microwave and dishwasher
Use the glass body in these appliances according to the model-specific instructions. Remove lids and accessories before heating unless they are expressly approved for that use. Never heat a sealed container. Do not use on a direct flame or stovetop unless the specific model is approved for it.
Clean, inspect and store
Wash with mild detergent and a soft sponge. Avoid abrasive pads and impacts against hard surfaces. Stop using glass that is chipped or cracked. Let hot glass cool before washing and protect pieces from knocks when stacking.
